RPSKill — Terms of Service

Draft — pending legal review. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Sections 13, 14, 15 and 17 in particular (disclaimer, liability, indemnity, governing law) and the virtual-currency terms in section 7 need professional review before release.

1. Who we are

RPSKill ("the game", "the service") is operated by Maor Avital, Shitrit 29, Tel Aviv, Israel ("we", "us"). You can reach us at maoravital752@gmail.com.

2. Acceptance of these terms

These terms are a binding agreement between you and us. You accept them when you first tap CONTINUE on the notice the game shows on first launch, and by continuing to use the game. If you do not accept them, do not use the game.

3. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the game, and you must meet the age rating shown for the game in your app store. If you are a minor under the law of your country, you may use the game only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

4. Your licence to use the game

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the game for your own non-commercial entertainment. All other rights are reserved. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the game, use automated clients, bots or scripts to play it, or access the service other than through the official app.

5. Your account

The game creates an anonymous account for you automatically. There is no email address, no password and no sign-up.

Please read this carefully: an anonymous account cannot be recovered. It is tied to the installation on your device. If you delete the app, reset the device, or lose the device, the account and everything in it — tokens, rating, progress — is gone, and we have no way to identify you in order to restore it. This is the direct cost of collecting nothing about you.

Connecting Facebook is the one way to change that, and it is entirely optional. If you connect a Facebook account (Lobby → SETTINGS → CONNECT FACEBOOK), we store your Facebook identifier alongside your existing account, and signing in with that same Facebook account on another device gives you the account back. What that connection involves is described in the privacy policy; your use of Facebook itself is between you and Facebook, under their terms, not ours. Two limits are worth stating plainly. A Facebook account can hold one game account: if you sign in on a device that already has its own unlinked progress, that progress stays where it is and is not merged — there is no way to combine two accounts, and we will not do it on request. And deleting your game account deletes the connection with it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate match results, ratings or balances;
• exploit a fault in the in-game economy rather than reporting it to us;
• create multiple accounts in order to farm wagers, rewarded-ad rewards, daily bonuses or ratings, or to transfer value between accounts;
• circumvent any limit in the game, including the daily rewarded-ad cap;
• choose a nickname that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, or that impersonates another person or us;
• harass other players, or interfere with their use of the game;
• attack, overload or probe the service or its infrastructure.

7. Tokens and other virtual items

This section is important. Please read it in full.

• Tokens, cosmetic items and every other in-game item are a limited licence to use a feature of the game. They are not your property, not a balance, not a deposit, and not electronic money.
• They have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed, exchanged, sold, transferred or converted into money or anything of value outside the game, and they are not refundable.
• They are earned only inside the game — by playing, from the daily bonus and the daily wheel, and by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. They cannot be bought. The game contains no in-app purchases and takes no real money from you at any time.
• Wagering is optional. Ranked matches are free to enter and put nothing at risk; the winner is paid a fixed reward by the game. If you want to play for a pot you choose a separate, marked table: both players stake the same amount, the stakes are held for the match, and the winner is paid the pot less a 10% fee. If a match is void, both stakes are returned in full. A player who never opens that door never stakes anything.
• Because no real money can enter and no real money can leave, this is a game mechanic and not gambling. Winning tokens wins you nothing outside the game.
• Who you are playing. Online matches are against other players whenever someone suitable is available. When nobody is, the game seats a computer-controlled opponent rather than leave you waiting. We do not promise that any given online match — staked or free, or any online match at all — is played against a human being. These opponents play under the same rules and affect your rating in the same way. This applies at staked tables too: when no suitable player is available, the seat is taken by a computer-controlled opponent that stakes the same amount from its own in-game balance, and the pot, the 10% fee and refunds work exactly as they do between people. These opponents are described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may adjust, reset or rebalance token amounts, prices and rewards for game-balance reasons or to correct abuse or a fault.
• All tokens and items are forfeited when your account is deleted or terminated, and no compensation of any kind is due. This applies whether you delete the account yourself or we terminate it under section 10.

8. Your nickname

The nickname you choose is shown to your opponents and, once you have played enough rated matches, on the leaderboard. You are responsible for it, and you grant us the right to display it inside the game for that purpose. We may change or remove a nickname that breaches section 6.

9. Reporting, blocking and moderation

The content you can show another player is your nickname, your chosen fighter, — if you add one — a profile photo, and during an online match one of five reaction faces. Nicknames are filtered automatically against a list of prohibited terms. Fighters and reaction faces are drawn by us and carry no user content. There is no free-text chat.

You can report a player from the end-of-match screen or from the board, and you can block a player so that you are not matched with them again. Reporting a player blocks them for you immediately, before any review, and also stops their reaction faces reaching you for the rest of that match. You can also mute an opponent's reactions at any time from the reaction tray, without reporting them.

A profile photo that enough different players report is removed automatically, without waiting for a human. Beyond that, we aim to review every report within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we may, depending on severity: remove the photo, reset the offending nickname, suspend the account, or terminate it permanently.

A profile photo is shown to an opponent only while a match with you is live, and it is never shown on the leaderboard.

10. Suspension and termination

You may end this agreement at any time by deleting your account from SETTINGS → DELETE ACCOUNT inside the game, or by writing to us (see the account deletion page).

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so we will tell you why. On termination your licence under section 4 ends and section 7's forfeiture applies.

11. Availability and changes to the game

The game is provided as an ongoing service and we may change, add or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will be available without interruption or error, and we do not guarantee that a human opponent will be available to play you at any particular time, or at all — see section 7. If we decide to shut the service down we will give notice in the game and on this site where we reasonably can.

12. Third-party services

The game uses Unity Ads (including the IronSource Ad Quality component) to serve optional rewarded video ads, and Supabase to host the game's backend. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their part of the service. What data reaches them is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes any warranty or right that the law of your country does not allow to be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost tokens, ratings or progress, or for loss of data. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the game.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version number and date at the top of this page change when we do. If a change is material, the game will ask you to accept the new version before you continue playing.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country whose law gives you the protection of your local courts, nothing in this section deprives you of that protection, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

18. The app stores

This agreement is between you and us only. Apple and Google are not parties to it, are not responsible for the game, and have no obligation to provide support or any warranty for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government restricted-parties list.
